Hari has worked for over 25 years as a legal researcher, editor, author and consultant for many organisations across several countries. He worked in the private sector for legal publishing, law and insurance firms and the Law Society of Ireland, and in the public sector through his work for the Australian and Irish Parliaments and the UNHCR.
